Real-Link Documentation
Welcome to the Real-Link documentation. This guide covers everything you need to set up, configure and use Real-Link for guard tour verification, time and attendance, digital forms, fire safety checks, lone worker protection and more.
What is Real-Link?
Real-Link is a field operations platform that captures data from your team in the field and makes it available in real time through a web portal. It replaces paper patrol logs, paper timesheets and paper checklists with NFC-verified digital records that cannot be altered after submission.
The system runs on NFC-enabled Android devices supplied by Real-Link. Small RFID or NFC tags are placed at checkpoints, on equipment or at any location you need to track. When your team member holds the device near a tag, the system captures who was there, exactly when and the GPS location. That record reaches the web portal within seconds.
NFC stands for Near Field Communication. It is the same technology that makes contactless card payments work. When your team holds a Real-Link device near an NFC tag, the device reads a unique code from the tag and creates a verified record. No typing, no button presses beyond the initial tap.
What you can do with Real-Link
- Guard tour verification — NFC-verified patrol records with GPS, timestamp and guard identity. Live in the client portal the moment each checkpoint is scanned.
- Time and attendance — NFC clock in and out with automatic photo capture and PIN verification. Tamper-proof attendance records for payroll and clients.
- Digital forms and checklists — any paper form rebuilt for mobile. Forms open automatically when the correct location tag is scanned.
- Incident reporting — photo evidence, GPS and witness details captured at the scene before anyone leaves.
- Lone worker protection — panic alerts, timed check-ins and live GPS monitoring running on the same device as everything else.
- Fire safety checks — RFID tags on every extinguisher and fire door open the correct inspection form on scan, with automatic compliance reports.
How it works
Getting started
If you are new to Real-Link, the best place to start is the Getting Started section. It covers system requirements, what hardware is supplied, how to log in for the first time and how to set up your first checkpoint.
If you have a specific task in mind, use the sidebar navigation or the search bar above to jump directly to the relevant section.
