Setup and onboarding

Everything you need to go from unboxing to live on your first site. Real-Link is designed to be operational within days. This section walks through the requirements, the hardware you will receive and how to get into the system for the first time.

What Real-Link supplies

Real-Link is supplied as a complete system. You do not need to source hardware, install software or configure devices yourself. Everything arrives pre-configured and ready to use.

  • NFC-enabled Android devices, pre-loaded with the Real-Link app and configured to your operation
  • RFID and NFC tags for your checkpoints, equipment and inspection points, registered in the portal before delivery
  • Web portal access with logins for your team and your clients
  • Onboarding support from the Real-Link team before your first shift
iOS not supported

Real-Link runs on Android only. Apple restricts the type of NFC access required. All devices supplied by Real-Link are Android. If you plan to use your own devices, they must be Android with NFC capability enabled.

Before you go live

Before your first patrol or shift, your Real-Link account manager will have set up the following:

  • Your company and site details in the portal
  • Your patrol routes or checkpoint locations
  • Your team members and their individual logins
  • Any forms or checklists you need
  • Client portal logins if applicable
  • Report schedules and alert recipients
