Real-Link has been helping security companies, FM contractors and compliance teams replace paper with verifiable digital records since 2008. Whilst the platform has operated under different brands along the way, the problem we are solving has always been the same

Our story

We have been doing this since before NFC was in every phone.

The core challenge facing security and FM operations has not changed in almost two decades. Field teams do excellent work, but the paper records they produce are easy to question, easy to lose and impossible to verify after the fact. Clients push back. Insurers push back. Regulators push back. The work was done, but the proof was not good enough.

We started using this technology to solve that problem in 2008, when NFC-enabled phones had only just reached the market, working with developers in Finland who built the platform underneath it. The platform has been rebuilt and refined many times since then, and has operated under different brands along the way, but the mission has stayed constant: give field operations teams a record that holds up.

Today that means NFC tags, Android devices, cloud portals and automated reports. In 2008 it meant a Nokia 6131, one of the first NFC-enabled phones on the market, combining NFC scans with GPS. Real-Link has always run on a live server, with data reaching the platform in real time rather than being downloaded or batched after the fact.

Digital Proof Replaces Paper
The first version of the platform goes live, deployed on the Nokia 6131, one of the first NFC-enabled phones on the market. Combining NFC tag scans with GPS gave a verified record of exactly where someone was and when, transmitted to a live server as it happened. What would become Real-Link is already helping organisations replace paper-based records with reliable digital proof.

Adding Visual Verification
As mobile devices become more capable, photo capture is introduced alongside checkpoint verification. Supervisors gain greater visibility into field activities, while clients receive richer evidence and more detailed reporting from every site visit.

Real-Link is built and run by people who have spent their careers working with field operations technology. Between them, the team brings decades of experience across sales, delivery and product, and a clear understanding of the problem Real-Link solves.

Brian Pellett
Managing Director

Brian has spent over 20 years growing the business around data capture and NFC technology, built by our development partners in Finland, working with more than 150 organisations across security, transport, property, facilities management, hospitality and even oil and gas. He has taken the platform beyond the UK too, building on its success in markets including the US and Africa.

His background spans manufacturing and computer software, with particular strength in mobile applications, pre-sales, Software as a Service and Point of Sale systems.

As a strong sales professional, he has built his career around driving business growth in new markets using technology. That experience, grounded in RFID and security technology, gives him a clear understanding of what field operations teams actually need from a system like Real-Link.

Irina Ceuca
Project and Product Manager

Irina holds a BSc in Digital Marketing and has been working with the Real-Link platform since 2019. As Project & Product Manager, she is responsible for delivering customer implementations and making sure the system is set up to match how each organisation actually works in the field.

She manages projects from initial requirements through to configuration, training and go-live, working closely with customers to make sure everything runs smoothly and nothing is missed during rollout. Her experience with the platform means she can quickly translate operational needs into practical system setups.

Alongside project delivery, she also supports product development and marketing activity, helping shape how Real-Link is presented and how new features are communicated to customers.

Leonard Barbieru
Operations and Delivery Lead

Leo brings a BSc in Architectural Technology and experience across operations, support and project delivery. He works closely around Real-Link deployments, helping to keep projects moving and making sure things stay practical when they get complex.

He is usually involved during onboarding and live implementations where a steady, hands-on approach is needed, helping translate plans into something that actually works in the field. He also provides day-to-day support to customers once systems are live, helping resolve issues and keep operations running smoothly.

Furthermore, he supports the commercial side of the business where needed, assisting with early conversations and making sure customers are pointed in the right direction.
